'Purpose, people and planet' is a new playbook by Chartered Accountants Australia New Zealand (CA ANZ) tailored to the sustainability of not-for-profits and charities.
The playbook includes tailored tips and free resources and is available here: New sustainability guide for not-for-profits and charities | CA ANZ (charteredaccountantsanz.com)
The rise and rise of ESG (environmental, social, and governance) in the listed company space is having trickle down affects for both established and start-up not-for-profits as listed companies seek to partner with ESG-purposed businesses. However, the new playbook by CA ANZ takes a look at the pressures mounting on the not-for-profit (NFP) and charity sector and also addressing the social and environmental impacts of their operations.
The playbook encompasses the balance between delivering on the NFP’s purpose, managing sustainability and appeal to funders, employees and volunteers. These are important considerations discussed at the boardroom table but the playbook provides a disciplined way to view and discuss these topics.
Prosperity has a track record of success in delivering advice to the NFP sector and we are enthusiastic about the opportunities that lay ahead in partnering with like-minded NFP’s in creating the sustainable businesses of the future.
If you have any questions regarding how to apply the playbook to your NFP, please contact Director of Corporate Assurance Alex Hardy on (02) 8262 8700 or ahardy@prosperity.com.au.
