Experience
Brett has more than 30 years’ experience providing business and taxation advisory services to a range of clients including multinational corporations, private clients, SME businesses including property developers.
Brett is a Director in our Taxation Services group based in our Sydney office.
Brett’s passion is providing tax advice to see his clients succeed in business and generate wealth. Brett advises taxpayers in all areas of taxation, including income tax, international tax, capital gains tax, FBT, GST and state duties, payroll taxes and land tax.
Brett’s primary area of expertise is resolving tax disputes for taxpayers in Australia. Prior to joining Prosperity, Brett was a tax barrister at the NSW Bar for 20 years specialising in taxation law and commercial law.
As a specialist tax advisor with accounting and legal expertise, Brett provides a practical solutions-based advice to his clients and creates plans to resolve business problems in complex transactions and business environments.
Brett is a seasoned conference presenter but has also dedicated a significant portion of his career to educating young professional accountants and lawyers about the role of taxation in the Australian economy. More recently, Brett serves as an adjunct academic at the University of Technology (UTS), Sydney.
