The Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation has released the result of Tender #43 (late afternoon of 10 December 2019):
- $181,000 South East (up from $161,293 or 12.2%)
- $ Nil Coastal ($57,489 in tender #41) - NO AUTHORITIES FOR SALE
- $20,000 Western (down from $25,000 or 20%)
Pub authorities
Reduced supply in the South East has increased prices as expected (just under my suggestion of 16.7%) with all authorities clearing the pool, I would suggest, from the one purchaser. The Coastal region had no supply therefore no result this tender. The Western region also appears to have only one buyer of 12 authorities out of a pool of 34 continuing the oversupply in the region since March 2017.
Market watchers are still waiting on the announcement by the Palaszczuk Qld Government on the potential buyback of 2,600 machines for the proposed new Casino’s and what effect this may, or may not have, on pricing in both Pub and Club environments (was expected in October).
